Hospital Information System (HIS) in Healthcare

Let's "GO E!" for this lesson. I'm going to integrate various e-learning tools which you have used along the way to achieve our goal. If you have notebooks, you can be anywhere in campus to go through this e-Learning session. If you don’t, you can use PCs @ E-Learning Plaza & H505 which have been booked for you.

Please note that we are going to commence the session on 25/7 (Fri) @ 2 pm. Group leader must ensure that your members are ready before commencing. Once you are ready, let's begin by following the instructions below.

There are 2 PARTS to the e-Learning session which you have to complete.

PART 1 - (Estimated completion time = 1 hour)
1. Login to HeuCampus. Students who login after 20 mins grace period will be considered as ABSENT 8-).
2. Once most of you have login successfully, I'll be sending a ppt file of HIS Lecture (396 KB). Accept & save this file in your personal drive or your external devices e.g floppy disk or thumbdrive.
3. Spend about 20 - 30 mins to go through the content of the file. Once you have completed, please inform your group leader. He/She will send me a note that your group has completed the task.
4. Thereafter, I'll send your group an "Assessment Key" which you have to use to launch e-assessment in CMS. All of you will have to take the 20 mins quiz! Students who fail will have to retake the test again until they pass before proceed to PART 2!!!

PART 2 - (Estimated completion time = 1 hour)
1. View a 10 mins video @ S:\Student Files\Rajale\HS4202\video. The video is about how AKH hospital has successfully deployed & implemented the use of HIS @ ICU.
2. Once you have completed, please inform your group leader. He/She will inform me that your group has completed the task.
3. Thereafter, I'll send your group a doc file which comes with 5 questions for your group to discuss. Consolidate your group answers and send them to me by TODAY, 5 pm using 2 different modes: HeuCampus via Homework Submission (for Grp 1 – 8) OR Wiki via File Attachment (for Grp 9 – 10).
